Ladybird pupa

I saw this on the gate into our local woods 2 days ago. I had no idea what it was until my insect app told me.
I was walking the dogs in the same area today and wondered if it had survived being predated, and yes there it was still changing from a larva to an adult ladybird. Google says this takes about a week
