Suited and booted

I don’t recall footwear being as fancy in my youth. It was Clark’s shoes or sandals. I still have my tiny leather shoes in the attic.

Today's are much more soft and fun. The grandson survived not only the 3.5 hour flight very well but also the 75 minutes delay in take off. They even allowed him into the country despite him chewing on his passport !

It took me over 75 minutes to get home from the airport, a trip that normally takes 25. Traffic everywhere was horrendous. The same this evening as we crossed the city to meet up with friends for our regular Chinese meal. There must have been something in the air today as even the service, which is normally very good, was extremely slow. Food as good as ever though.
