On The Back Side

A chance to walk on the wild side of the inlet on account of there being no ducks to scare. There is a track of sorts winding its way through the prairie requiring only minor brushing aside of some vegetation. It was interesting to see the view from this side and the light direction was different.

I failed to catch the heron in flight, but followed his path to where he landed opposite. Finding a gap through which to view him I sneaked up carefully. I managed a few shots before he took off again. I liked the spotlight effect and the deep shadows in this frame.
