Birthday girl

Once upon a time, my wife and I swore never to host a birthday party in our house for our daughter and her friends given the logistic effort involved. So a bit of a break of that rule for our this year's party, but we hired a lady come round to show the party guests how to decorate fairy cakes with various multi-coloured materials. It was also remarkably effective at keeping everyone quiet for a couple of hours.

This is our daughter posing with some of the decorated cakes. It was really sunny outside and balancing the inside and outside light was a fun problem to solve.
