Female reed bunting in flight

After a slow relaxing start to today i decided to pay a visit to the Newport Wetlands seeing as it was such a beautiful afternoon. My mission was to try and photograph the birds that i normally can't find.

So i decided to slow walk down the end i normally dont go. With very little cover in the unforgiving sun, only the wind kept the temp down. Its amazing how much more you see when you stop for a while and look and listen.
