Gent Opera House

What a lovely day - we celebrated my birthday today, first my presents whilst still in bed, then breakfast outside in the sun, followed by coffee at Caffènation.
A real treat were the 4 tickets to see the Flemish Ballet in Gent, courtesy of mrs. Carreiro who offered tickets to staff (and students). She is the artistic director of the Flemish ballet. We didn't see any other staff or students... Must have been too busy?!
We had seen them perform in Antwerp before, but we had never been in Gent. The surroundings were marvelous, as you can see.
The ballet danced to music of Benjamin Britten (he would turn 100 this year). We all enjoyed it!
