Folkrace

Folk racing (Wikipedia) - a highly entertaining way to finish off cars too old to be useful on the road, and too young to be considered collectable classics. To keep the sport from turning expensive, all cars are for sale for a fixed 8,000 SEK bid (£580 / €670), and the owners cannot refuse a bid to buy it.

Lots of fun, noise, dust, exhaust and skirmishes. And of course, given the low budgets involved, many cars that failed mid-race and had to be towed or forklifted off the track. All in great fun, and of course with strict safety rules in place!
