People Watching....

....or his official title, 'Undercover Security', and Jeremiah loved his role. Sitting discreetly undercover on the edge of a superstore car park, he spent his time eating the odd berry, but listening.

It was something he found some people just did not do, at all, even when the advice was sound and logical. He heard all sorts with his keen hearing, and would tip the instore Security off if he heard anything about any planned shoplifting - which he did - much to his surprise.

He thought when he took this job that people would notice him, but only a very small percentage did, the rest were too busy with thinking about their shopping, what pudding they were going to have, what they were going to have for lunch or tea, and oh, the amount of waffle he heard.

It was a great pity that that waffle couldn't be converted to heat for the store - the amount of money they would save would be incredible.

There were moments when he heard a tale so boldly told, and so blatantly untrue that he'd miss his bite on the cherry, and end up biting his Tongue and finger - and would be amazed no one would notice a 1 foot squirrel suddenly leaping six feet into the air- and a sound of expletives after.

What made him shake his head after? The person telling the tale carried on and hadn't heard him!
