Autumn is Coming

I saw this tree with a few leaves starting to change colors; I am reminded that our official Autumn will arrive soon.

We drove to the beach this morning and barely arrived before our friends arrived from Anacortes, Washington. They used to be our neighbors 30 years ago and we have remained friends. The men are fishing in the ocean tomorrow morning...unless the conditions do not meet their standards for safe fishing...I hope it is nice and they come back with fish. We, ladies, are going to walk in the morning and then come back to make zucchini bread with two big zucchini from the garden.

Yesterday Portland was 96F and it will be 87F today but it is nice and cool at the beach.
