Classic: Tui in Kowhai

A week ago there were few if any flowers on the Kowhai. Today there were five Tui when I went past a big Kowhai in Boylan Terrace. Only the one in my blip was in a place where a decent focus was possible, even though the light wasn't the best.

Provided I didn't get confused (and it was easy to lose track of which Tui was which) the Tui in my Blip saw two or three out of the tree. Hence it's
loud calling as shown in my photo. The call was outside the human range, but from body posture, it was far from silent for the Tui.
