Quite a sight!

This morning, on my way back from walking the dogs, I spotted a group of birds high in the sky, flying towards us. I stopped the car and took a photo of them. I was pretty sure it was cranes and when I looked at the photo, sure enough.
The most I have seen together this year has been four so delighted to see this group.
We took a slight detour home just in case they had landed and I saw these two in the extra. I suspect they hadn’t been part of the group.
Quite an ornithological morning!
