I went up to the allotment, to feed the wee blighters and pick a few bits. Dug up another shaw of Setanta - huge crop, but they aren't as well behaved in the cooking as Nadine. Disintegrate into mush if boiled. Trying to remember last year's recipes.......oh, there was a gratin that proved very useful. Must seek it out.

Last week's sunflower has opened out properly - still half the size of the monsters beyond the hedge, but the bee doesn't mind. Just the right place for a wee doze......
