On the Don

We’d quite the nature walk on the River Don. A couple of herons, seals, a redshank and assorted gulls and ducks. But what’s made my day was seeing the blue flash of a couple of kingfishers. 
I met a couple of birders further down the path. They’d seen an otter earlier in the day and reported that kingfishers seem to be a bit more common this year.
