Overcompensation

I was going to do a different blip today but on my way back home I saw this wee guy tied up outside a shop. I try not to fall for the cute stuff, but he (or she, I didn't check) no doubt felt abandoned and looked understandably miserable.

What really caught my attention was the size of the leash and hook that was used to secure him to the hitching post. It's as though the owner was expecting a Great Dane but the dog turned out to be a rough coated Jack Russell puppy instead.

Jack Russells are intelligent wee dogs, perhaps this one will turn out to be a star, just like Eddie. At the moment, I think it just wants to go home...
