Finally a Rainy Day

… and the Alpine Autumn Crocuses are everywhere in the fields. Today was an abortive search for Ladies Tresses or Spiral Orchids (extra) which have been seen in one of the protected areas around our village. I didn’t even know these existed!  After last night’s wind and today’s torrential rain I doubt they would be very good today! 

I am honoured to have received such compliments for yesterday’s mountains and bouquetin photo. It was one of those rare moments of stillness in nature that will stay in my mind for a long time.
