P..P..P..P..P..Pick up a Penguin !!

Evening all,

It's practically impossible to look at a penguin and feel angry - Joe Moore

We had an amazing day at the zoo.....Mini G loved it all.... bending over, peeking through her legs and shouting 'Hello!' to everyone in the Monkey House !! Had us in stitches ;0)

We saw the Panda's.....and they were awake and moving !!! Sorry Shiv.....no Panda blip....but there is one in my folio........some shots of the day !!! ;0)

Beautiful bit was the story of how Panda's got there markings........

In China, there were beautiful, giant white bears and a little local girl loved these bears. One day, hunters came to kill the bears, they fired there arrows but the little girl who was with the bears couldn't let them be harmed, dived in front of the arrows and was killed. The hunters left. The bears were so distraught at this that they all came together, built a huge funeral pyre, gathered up the little girls body and placed her on this pyre and cremated her. They cried and they cried. When the fire went out, they walked through the ashes, their paws went black, still they cried, they wiped their eyes making them black. They hugged each other making them black across there shoulders. They cried so loudly, they covered their ears. This is why they have their markings and why they look so sad.
