Happy Burpday Phil

 
Today one of our oldest (in terms of time known in Rippingale) friends celebrated his 70th with an afternoon party in The Bull Inn. 
 
It was quite an occasion for the FNDG as at one point we were all there, including Phil.  The extra is just a few of us after I remembered to take a snapshot.  As Sue, the ex-landlady said after we had rounded up most of the chairs around us, all we needed to do was move a couple of tables and it would have been 100% like old times.  We haven’t met as a group since the pandemic.
 
Phil was the ‘baby’ of the group, and only got full membership ten years ago.  I’ve included this link to Phil’s speech.
 
Sue had made the cakes for Phil as a surprise.  The chocolate cake was out of this world, but then Sue is one of the best cooks we know.
