To dye for!

Probably not the best of photographs but one of many that got my attention the most at an exhibition in Birmingham Library.
Entitled “The Birmingham Allotment Project” it gave a snapshot of Birmingham’s vibrant allotment culture from the 1960’s ti the present day. A friend was responsible for some of the displays and stories so went along to support her.It was fascinating !! Wonderful personal stories of what allotment life gave to the quality of people’s lives in so many ways.
I’ve always wanted to grow more plants for dyeing.. grow more food.. but I’m realistic enough to know that managing an allotment would be too much.
