Paraty

The IRES traveled outside Rio to the old port city of Paraty. We stayed in a very nice pousada and snuck our way onto an afternoon boat trip where we did some snorkeling. The IRES saw monkeys (marmosets), a capibara, sea turtles, sand dollars, and crabs. Another favorite moment was the discovery of what appeared to be an orange tree on a nearby beach. Our boat captain requested one be thrown to him from shore and he concluded they were limes/lemons. The IRES, incredulous at orange limes, tried them any way and promptly declared "Oh my god, they ARE lemons!"
