Hover fly

Today was very hot for a September day. It reached 34C in our part of Sydney. The bug life was feeling it too. I ventured out with full sun protection but there was no action and anyway I couldn't hack it, so back inside I went.

By 4pm the temperature had dropped and a few insects were buzzing. I was able to catch this hover fly, not face on as I prefer but it put on a show of its wings.
