Power

We woke up to no power in the bedrooms.  Amateur investigations showed that circuit 3 had tripped, but unusually, we couldn't flip the switch back up.  A google search suggested we unplug every socket from the wall (which involved a lot more effort and furniture moving than it should have done!) which was singularly unsuccessful.

Fortunately, we have Glen who lives next door to us who was at home looking for as many excuses as possible to avoid a mountain of paperwork and he isolated the problem as an external socket which had a little corrosion allowing a bit of water in during the torrential rain of  last night.

Thank goodness for electrical safety devices!

And thank good ness for Glen :-)
