Fun Run

Today was the school Fun Run, which I helped to organise. It all ran very smoothly and I think everyone had a great time. Weather was dull and a bit chilly, but actually really good conditions for running.

I have been in charge of the administration. This has involved spreadsheet work which isn't my forte, but a good challenge. This afternoon I had asked my friend Jo to help me record the finishing positions and she brought along her daughter Eva to help too. They were brilliant, and did it all so I could be a 'floating organiser' and get my blip shot for the day!

There are 2 races in our Fun Run... a 1.5K for younger children and those who don't feel they can run the full race and then there is the 3K. Both Amy and James ran the 3K and did really well.

Amy was the 4th fastest girl which she was really pleased about (20th overall). But James was the biggest surprise of the afternoon. He was placed 38th overall, which doesn't sound that great but in fact he was actually 2nd fastest infant boy in the 3K race. This because most of the infants chose to run the shorter race. So he was really, really pleased with himself... as was I!
