Transfer Day

Today we transfer from Milan to Lake Como. early departure from the hotel this morning and a taxi over to Central Station.  I chose to travel first class as it was only 2 Euro more than standard class. The train left on time but was delayed just outside Monza. We arrived in Como15 minutes late.

Friends are coming over for the weekend and are picking us up from the station. Due to traffic congestion near Brescia they are quite late. We have a booking for lunch at Il Cris. For a while we thought we might be too late. We made it in the end and were only a few minutes late.

In the evening we have a BBQ. There was some light rain, but we had a parasol to come to the rescue. A pleasant and late evening on the terrace until they eventually returned to their hotel.
