All at sea

Another day at sea, sailing from the west coast of Greenland across Baffin Bay to Baffin Island. The sea is like glass and the sunny periods are interspersed with snow showers. The air is 0 degrees C with a wind chill factor of -8 degrees C. The sea is at +3 degrees C. We all wrapped up in our polar parkas for a BBQ on deck and no need for ice buckets to keep the champagne cool.

We took the opportunity to visit the bridge, which is rather like the Starship Enterprise. Luckily we have our own “Captain Kirk” in the shape of Captain Marchesseau. In the extra he is about to whizz off exploring icebergs in his super-equipped Zodiac.
