Valley Walk

It was a bit of a dull start today so we opted for a walk from the cottage. We walked up the valley and through woodland that had been planted by the owners of the farm where we're staying. This is the view looking back down this valley and you can see the farm house and buildings in the photo.

The extras include a photo of the family's horse Gilfach. He's a really friendly horse and is 33 year's old! We also got an opportunity to feed one of the young highland cows. He'd been hand reared as he didn't suckle when he was born. 

The other extra is of a thunderstorm we witnessed. It was very strange as the cloud was very bright with the lightning seeming to stay within the cloud. And we heard no thunder?
