Bonewood
...or 'Spindle tree' in English, Euonymus europaeus in latin is an autumn tree. in the spring no one notice it but this time of year it sparkles in red, yellow green and brown, all at once. The fruits will open after a while and reveal a yellowish orange fruit. On my long walk today I saw several, both as small bushes or small trees. I'll look for a plant to dig up and plant tomorrow, my garden could use some more autumn colour.
It's called bonewood, "Benved" in Swedish, because its wood is very hard and therefore was used for making things like needles for knitting, ornamentation, furniture details and suchlike. Because of its small volume it can only be used for thin, small things that needs to be strong and hard.
