A pop of colour in a sea of green. This little beauty was only about 3 inches tall and had managed to survive in a park. At the other end of the lawn was a council worker on a ride-on lawnmower so I very much doubt it is still there.
A few weeks ago we received notification that the electricity would be off tomorrow between 9 and 4 so we plan on going out for the day. Today, 1/2 way through cooking dinner, the power went off. Worried that it might be off until tomorrow I started to get a bit twitchy about being without food, heating and entertainment for the evening.Fortunately it was restored in about an hour. Presumably it has something to do with the storm raging outside - tail end of a hurricaine in the Atlantic. I bet its bad on the west coast tonight.
