Korosho

Cashew.

An obligatory stop on the coastal road between Lindi and Mtwara in south-eastern Tanzania is this unassuming shack selling delicious cashews. I’ve never passed it without the team pausing to negotiate purchases for themselves and friends, involving frantic phone discussions with colleagues in Dar es Salaam. I enjoyed the fading light and the remote setting whilst everyone concluded their business.
