Something to be proud of

My grandmother, who is 92 years old, lived in her own house alone until a few months ago. At the moment, she is being very well looked after in a lovely nursing home.

On a notice board in the dining room, there are some hand-decorated fans on which people wrote reasons that they are proud.

I was taken by this one, partly because I too used to do ballet on the Cork Opera House stage, and partly because the person who made it is obviously showing a lot of determination to stay off cigarettes!
