Egret Teenagers

Drove out to the egrets this morning. I'm bummed this year as the nests are hard to see. Last year there were several close by and out in the open making for nice photos. I have to work at it this year. I hope to have a new super zoom super fast lens when they come back next year :)

We then took a drive and found a country road we hadn't taken before. It branched off onto what we figure had to be a forestry road as it kept going and going and going....we finally turned around. I wanted to see where it lead but I was afraid we would end up in the valley or in California if I didn't stop :) Saw a bird for the first time. Took a couple shots hoping to add it to BlipBigYear. After researching it turned out to be a sooty grouse and it was already added. I hope to find a bird not represented! Might play hooky this week and go out to the estuary I have been wanting to see. Maybe I will find one out there :)

Went into the office for a couple hours. I like going in on Sundays as I don't get bothered and can get a lot done! Now I can start my week a bit less behind :)

It was a gorgeous sunny day again today but super WINDY!! ugh. We get the wind when it's hot in the valley but it usually holds off till mid afternoon. Past few days it has been blowing from morning until night!!!

Tonight is the season final of Game of Thrones!! Last weeks episode was a shocker. I'm wondering what they will end the season with.....

I have been MIA for a few days but hope to come back and check out all your journals after my massage and see what fabulous photos I have been missing :)
