Cash Is King

Yesterday’s bank, the full picture. I checked out the night safe -  it’s sealed - before going to the ATM at the shopfront version down the street. The closure of bank branches, especially in rural areas, is part of the current Royal Commission. It seems staff were rewarded for transferring customers to online banking, and then their branches were closed.

I’m enjoying Tim Parks’ The Hero’s Way, following in the footsteps of Garibaldi in 1849. He had his own problems with cash.
