A day of cooking, drinking, and barbecues

Backblip: Following on from our exploits in Strasbourg, and travelling back through an impressive thunderstorm, we had decided that the next day would best be spent in eating and drinking. So up at the crack of 10, we got on with the preparing of salads and meats. Now, I am a bit of a wuss when it comes to trusting Ottawacker Jr. with a knife sharp enough to take down a charging rhino, but his godfather is a little on the less cautious side (also see extras). And, in fairness, he does have 8 other fingers. 

Guests came early afternoon and much fun was had - and not just at my German. It's really quite inspiring to see how the simple things - food, friendship, a few drinks, music - can still cause so much pleasure when they are an integral part of your life.
