Another Festival

The last full day of our vacation, a little more relaxed than previous days, but no less enjoyable.

We had a hearty breakfast (at Bakery Bar again) to provide a solid base for beer tasting at the Fruit Beer Festival. It was just a short bus ride from our cottage.

We weren't terribly impressed with most of the beers -- the one we both voted best was actually a cider called Rhubarbarian. It had a distinct rhubarb flavor and satisfied our taste for tartness.

After the requisite afternoon nap, we strolled to the nearby Pie Spot and brought back pies for dinner on the patio.

We'll be sorry to leave Portland tomorrow, yet happy to return to Bellingham. It's been a great vacation.
