THE ARMCHAIR TREKKERS

Here we are sitting thinking of our son on the second day of 
his solo trek of the first three sections of Wainwrights Coast to Coast walk.
This was one of the challenging sections of about 19 miles along the side of Ennerdale Water then a 1,000 feet of climbing  before a descent past the old slate quarris ending at his hotel at the top of Borrowdale.
Weather conditions have been challenging and although we have every confidence in him we were very pleased torecieve a message ten minutes ago that he was over the pass and going down the final section.
