Misty morn view from the Drumsmittal area of the Black Isle, towards Drynie.
First 'Pinkfeet' (Pink-footed Geese) seen and heard this morning. A huge skein of them, with some smaller ones, flew over the house, just as the Sun peeked over the horizon. Temperature was close to freezing - such a change from the mid-Summer like temperatures of last week.
Was up extra early to ensure being at the Dentist for opening time. Had an ancient amalgam filling replaced that must have cracked several months ago. Hope I didn't swallow the missing bit, as those old fillings contain mercury. Suspect it was out of warranty, as it had been in there for about fifty years! The person that fitted it, the original one, is 92 today.
