Picnic Dreams

When you are in France it's always a fantasy to stop by a river and have a baguette picnic. In reality it's hard to achieve - you cant stop or there's no access.

But in pretty little St Jean de Cole there is a river bank where you can sit with your cheese and a glass of wine and gaze at the river Dronne passing by. I asked this couple if they had any left over for me but they courteously explained that there was only enough for two. 

Later as they were driving away from the village they gave a cheerful toot of farewell.

A dream picnic.
