Chana Dhal

Why do slow cooker exponents consistently underestimate the time it takes to cook something? For a change, I had all the ingredients to cook chana dhal. Instead of 3 hours it took five. And I put chicken in it to meat it up. It was the potatoes that took time. I had to wait until I got home from choir before I could eat some.

This was the day that Rishi Sunak announced that he was moving the deadline for cancelling purchase of petrol and diesel vehicles from 2030 to 2035. A pragmatic decision I think but contentious politically. I always think of him as a manager rather than a politician.
