Taking flight

The Formula Kite European Championships is being held in Portsmouth this week. They are holding qualifying competitions in prep for the Paris Olympics. When I arrived the kiteboards were so far out in the horizon they were like tiny dots but I made my way along the beach and one group of kites were flying into shore so I managed to get a shot of the sails. I love the way they look like sketches of seagulls. Walking back I got drenched! Second time in two days!!
