Chalkis...

Today we went to the biggest town of Evia, Chalkis. We visited an old Venetian fortress, made a city walk where we saw among other things a 15th century mosque, the 13th century Agua Perakevi-basilica (it was closed, because it was being renovated, which indeed looked very necessary), a 19th century synagogue and visited a very nice small archeological museum. Last we visited a 4th century Roman aquaduct... @ Chalkis, Evia, Greece
