Genoan treasures

Today, the weather forecast was for more rain so instead of walking in the hills, we were taken by coach to Genoa. The journey took nearly two hours. Once in Genoa, our two leaders took us around the central part of the old city. We saw the Cathedral of St Lorenzo and later visited the Palazzo Reale. This very grand house (Palace) dates from the early 17th century when it was constructed by the Balbi family and later came to the Durazzo dynasty and the Savoyard Royals before becoming a national museum.
My blip shows the ballroom and the extra shows the newly renovated Hall of Mirrors, both very grand and impressive The Hall of Mirrors still awaits the. hanging of its chandeliers which will make it even more stunning.
