Lords-and-Ladies

This evening I went for a walk around Castle Loch in Lochmaben. A friend and I took the dogs and managed to get around the loch before it got dark.
In one part of the woods we came across loads of Lords-and-Ladies or Cuckoo Pint plants. Their orange/red berries were really standing out in the dark green undergrowth. They may look pretty, but they are very poisonous and with being self-seeding, the plant can become a bit of a nuisance.
