Onion

Tidying up the kitchen this morning I found this sprouting onion in the veg basket. It was destined for the compost heap but I thought the shapes and colours would make for a nice still life study.

It was photographed in natural light in the light tent as a seven image focus stack and then processed using Helicon Focus. I used a wide aperture to keep the background soft.
The combined image was then finalised in Lightroom plus a self made preset using Perfect Effects 4.

Now it's into the garden to do some much needed maintenance.
