What's The Point With Banksy?, London
I've spent the past few days just taking my camera for a walk but just not seeing anything. On the rare occasion I have seen something I've even either been too late, chickened out, had my camera on the wrong setting or it's been out of focus,. So when I finally avoided all those mishaps and misdemeanors and captured today's shot I was rather happy!
I must admit I'm not a huge Banksy fan (I've photographed quite a few of his works at work so maybe familiarity has something to do with it) but after listening to the podcast, The Banksy Story, on BBC Sounds he's grown on me. He's a fascinating contradiction, world famous and totally anonymous at the same time, but also willing to give money to causes he believes in and to poke the bear that is the art world, which he is very clever at skewering.
The day finished with getting soaked for a second day in a row on the way to catch my train home, so a bit yin and yang today!
