In Bloom

To the Museum of Contemporary Art where In Bloom, on the sculpture terrace, was a bit underwhelming. 

By chance my favourite Australian photographer, Tracey Moffatt, had two series downstairs. Fourth, losers at the 2000 Olympics, came about when she missed out on the job as official photographer. In First Jobs she inserts herself into old photos of the sorts of places she (we?) worked in the late 70s/early 80s.

Steve Carr’s sculpture is comprised of cast-bronze tyres and coastal plants.
