Baling the silage
Well, it had to be this one today. There's a whole team of men and six tractors out there - rowing up (gathering the grass into tight rows), baling (that's my favourite where the baler "lays an egg" of grass), collecting the bales onto the trailers, hauling them into the barns, transferring the bales to the baler, wrapping them in black plastic, moving the wrapped bales onto the silage pad for next winter. It gives a great feeling of satisfaction like having a cupboard full of neatly labelled pots of jam :-))
