Dragon Ride

Today, my hubby Matt took part in the charity Dragon Ride for the first time, raising money for prostate cancer, and what a fab day it was. This photo is of him just coming to the summit of the Rhigos Mountain near Treherbert, South Wales. One of the many tough ascents on the 80 mile circular route from Margam Park near Port Talbot.
This is one of the stunning views from the top of the Rhigos.
There were almost 4,500 competitors and it was great to watch some of them ascending and descending the Rhigos and Bwlch mountains. Not my idea of fun I have to say! But great to watch! The speeds they were doing on the descents were terrifying!
Matt completed the route in 5 hours 24 mins and he was well chuffed with that. As was I!!
We finished the day with a lovely picnic in the beautiful Margam Park.
