Roses and Sedum……
……..on a bright sunny morning.
There are inky clouds bubbling up so I don’t think it will be a totally dry day,
I’m always amazed by my shrub roses each year.
They’ve survived the heat, torrential downpours, high winds and dry spells yet keep on flowering.
I deadheaded most of them after we returned from France, this is around their third flowering!
I had an exchange of WhatsApp messages with Bobbie’s two daughters yesterday evening. They have been told that she is being moved today today to a Care Home which specialises in Dementia and Alzheimer’s care, amongst other Mentally related conditions,
They are both so upset knowing this is the right thing for their mum but know today will be another traumatic one for her.
It isn’t as far for us to visit, and once she has been there a week we’ll go and see her.
I am tired today.
But myself and two friends have been asked out to tea and cakes this afternoon at the home of another one,
Stephen will take us, and pick us up later.
Looking forward to that.
Autumn equinox tomorrow.
“The beginning of the autumn season marks the end of warm summer days and the start of longer chilly nights. This year, the autumnal equinox will begin on Sept. 23, 2023.”
