Bayeux

Had a wonderful day in Bayeux. We visited the Museum where the Bayeux tapestry is held. My friend had never seen it before and was totally mesmerised by how long it was and how intricate the embroidery was. What is so amazing is how it managed to get back to what it originally was after nearly 1,000 years of being fairly badly treated. After a delicious formule lunch - yes we had to have a crème brûlée - we headed back to Barfleur. Quickly got changed ready to have a swim in the glorious sunshine. The water was a balmy 21 degrees. We had our sundowner on the beach and came back, happy after a day of fun.
