Moorchicks

Another busy day.
I got some washing out (and dry) and made bread and then decided I needed to get the utility room sorted after yesterday's disruptions.
This involved moving the washing machine to clean behind it and move a shelf and in the process found a slaight leak in the inpipe to the machine. I don't know how long it's been there. Mr Rat tightened the connection and we put a container underneath and will see how it goes.
All cleaned and dried the next job was to replace a bit of vinyl and as we did so we discovered a hatch into the underfloor (discovered when it broke under Mr Rat's foot!). There were various things under it and we think one was what the gasman was looking for yesterday. A piece of wood was found to replace the broken cover and the vinyl put down, but in a way it can easily be removed for the next service.
Once all was cleaned and covered the various things could be replaced (though I found quite a lot to throw out) and now it's almost done.
Time for a seat and some knitting and then a short run, a bit delayed as there was a shower just as I was getting ready, and I meant these chicks.
A brief visit to our son's this evening, it's his 40th birthday - where did all those years go!
