HFC Concert band

Photo courtesy of W.  First performance with the new group.  A short programme for Culture Night.  Good job it was short, it was distinctly chilly.  I was still struggling with the faster parts of the music, so quite a lot of miming on my part. 

Afterwards, we retired with a couple of the other flautists to White's hotel for a cuppa and a pleasant chat.

Earlier in the day, we had a visit from the gardener introduced by our Financial Advisor.  Enthusiastic, seems fairly knowledgeable, struggled a little to understand why we should want to get rid of much of our hedging, but took our desires on board.  Had some sensible suggestions for the area by the patio.
